Weekly ownership signals vs monthly performance metrics

Two kinds of information that behave differently and ask different things of you.

Ownership signals answer "is this name still mine to take?" Performance metrics answer "how is this name doing?"

They're separated because they behave differently.

Ownership signals are categorical and time-sensitive. A trademark is filed or it isn't. A domain is available or it's taken. These change discretely, they can change overnight, and some come with deadlines that close. That's why they're checked weekly and why they trigger an alert.

Performance metrics are numeric and gradual. Your authority score doesn't jump overnight, and a weekly reading would mostly show noise. Monthly gives you a number that means something, with a comparison to last month.

On the Brand Protect page, ownership sits above performance for the same reason — the things you might need to act on come first.
