Payments are most often declined for one of these reasons:
- Incorrect card details — double-check the number, expiry date, and security code.
- Expired or outdated card — if you're using a saved card, it may need updating (see Managing your payment method).
- Insufficient funds or a bank hold — your bank may be blocking the charge.
- International or restricted cards — some cards have limits on online or cross-border payments.
What to do:
- Re-enter your card details carefully and try again.
- If it still fails, try a different card.
- If you believe the card is fine, contact your bank — they can often see why a charge was blocked and approve it.
