What is BrandScreen?

BrandScreen is a brand-name screening tool. You enter a name you're considering, and BrandScreen checks it across the five things that actually determine whether you can use and build on it — then rolls everything into one report.

Every screening covers:

  • Trademarks — exact and confusingly-similar marks on file with the USPTO, across trademark classes.

  • Domains — live availability across .com, .ai, .io, .app, and dozens of other extensions.

  • Business entities — registered LLCs and corporations that could conflict, by state.

  • Social handles — whether the name is open on Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

  • Search competition — how crowded the name already is in search results.

All five roll up into a single Brand Score from 0–100, so you can tell at a glance whether a name is worth pursuing or worth skipping.

Why it exists: naming something normally means bouncing between the USPTO website, domain registrars, state business registries, social apps, and Google — or asking an AI chatbot that confidently guesses from old data. BrandScreen pulls all of those live checks into one place, so you get real, current results instead of ten browser tabs and a guess.

A note on what BrandScreen is — and isn't: BrandScreen surfaces signals to help you make an informed decision. It is not legal advice, and a clean report is not a guarantee that a name is free to use. For anything trademark-related you're serious about, review the findings with a qualified attorney.
