The five checks, explained

Every Brand Score is built from five separate checks. Here's what each one looks at:
Each check gets its own read in the report, and together they form the overall Brand Score. The articles below explain how to read each one in detail.
- Trademarks — exact and confusingly-similar marks on file with the USPTO, across trademark classes. This is usually the most important check, because trademark conflicts are the hardest to work around.
- Domains — live availability across .com, .ai, .io, .app, and many other extensions, so you know what you can actually register.
- Business Entities — registered LLCs and corporations with a conflicting name, searched across state business registries.
- Social Handles — whether the name is open on the major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, LinkedIn).
- Search Competition — how crowded the name already is in search results, which tells you how hard it'll be to get found.
